Dear Readers,

Abbas Milhelm is a farmer and owns three olive groves. Also, he chairs the Palestinian Farmers Union (PFU). Talking to journalist Jan Rübel, he describes agriculture in the West Bank, caught between political conflict and increasingly poor weather conditions.

A joint policy brief by Think20, the official Think Tank Engagement Group of the G20, and GIZ India argues the case for agroecological approaches to achive sustainability in our agricultural and food systems. Barbara Rehbinder, Scaling Up Nutrition Movement (SUN), also focusses on this goal and concludes four principles to enhance justice and sustainability in global food systems.

Abbas Milhelm ist Landwirt und besitzt drei Olivenhaine. Gleichzeitig sitzt er der Palestinian Farmers Union (PFU) vor. Mit Journalist Jan Rübel spricht er über die Landwirtschaft im Westjordanland im Spannungsfeld aus politischen Konflikten und zunehmend schlechten Wetterbedingungen.
